If you listen to the Paul Jones blues show then you'll have caught a musical glimpse of Ana Popovic earlier this year. That she is an outstanding guitarist is only a part of the story though. She is also an excellent singer and songwriter, has stunning good looks and is a nice, down to earth girl as well.
She is not a hot tip for blues purists, but anyone wanting to hear a fresh approach that fuses in jazz and funk with blues roots should check Ana out.
She toured Britain for a short time last year so a few Brits will know how great she is onstage - I live in Germany so I've had the good fortune to hear /see her numerous times - and everytime she is better than the last.
