Ian Parker

Ian parker - 21st century blues man

Expressed through a distinctive bitter-sweet vocal delivery and harrowing guitar work,
Ian's songs hold nothing back. His ability and willingness to share with his audience,
naked honesty and genuine emotion, is what sets him apart.

Drawing on an eclectic range of influences, this young man is fast becoming Britain's best loved
blues/roots performer. A songwriter genuinely literate, sometimes almost literary,
Ian is an original craftsman rooted in the blues but not trapped by any desire to replicate the past.
He is without doubt a relevant contemporary blues man.

and touring with Dave Arcari (Scotland), Alaska Gavin Kalan (FIN), and Bottleneck John (SWE).

Mitch Woods

Mitch Woods and His Rocket 88’s are the torch bearers of a great American musical heritage.
Taking their inspiration from the great jump n’ boogie outfits and swingin’ little big bands of the 40’s,
they breathe fresh life into the music that gave birth to rock n’ roll. Mitch takes his cue from his
jumpin’, n, jivin’, shoutin’ n’ honkin’, pumpin’ n’ poundin’ predecessors, Louis Jordan, Cab Calloway,
Joe and Jimmie Liggins, Louis Prima, just to name a few. Mitch’s pile drivin’ piano licks and energetic
stage persona combine with the Rocket 88’s swingin’ horns, thumpin’ bass, rockin’ guitar,
and jungle drums to send a crowd into dancing delight. They are one of the first bands on the
West Coast to reach back to an earlier time in American music using humor, style, musicianship,
and showmanship to forge their own swinging brand of music, which they coined rock-a-boogie.
Mitch & the 88’s have distilled the essence of jump, swing , boogie woogie, made it their own,
and deliver it to the present.

Bobbie "Mercy" Oliver & Jam City Revue Band

Bobbie formed his present band Jam City Revue around the year 1996 with just a drummer,
Eddie Robbins and himself. Eddie's brother Kenny joined them playing Congo's and percussions.
Bobbie recruited his sister, Mary, to play bass again and his brother Freddy playing drums.
When they decided they no longer wanted to play in a band, Bobbie went and bought a bass guitar
and taught his stepson, Anthony how to play it and he joined the band and Eddie Robbins was on drums.
Anthony was very young with wife and small children so that didn't last very long. It was at that time that
his nephew, K. T. took an interest in playing the bass, taking lessons from Bobbie. K. T. is very good
on bass and at Mom's encouraging he started to sing, Stormy Monday, Bobby Bland's version and has
since begun to sing other R & B hits.

unique sound, but one that seems to have a wide appeal.

Roadhouse

Roadhouse was formed in 1991 by Gary Boner, ably assisted throughout by the driving bass of Bill Hobley
